Hi All,
Pinterst is the Corkboard for the 21st Century. Gone are the days gathering images from magazines, piling them up in a folder to plan your wedding, an anniversary trip or a vacation of a lifetime. You no longer need to keep piles of magazines on places to visit, that later get tossed into the recycling bin. Pinterest helps you organize your dreams, recipes, vacation plans and whaevert evokes emotion or strikes your fancy. On top of that Pinterest keeps it all organized, that is a dream come true.
So how do you use this for your travel business?
1. You have clients on Pinterest
Find out, see what they are pinning. This gives you two opportunities. The first great opportunity is – you get to know your clients better and you can build an even better relationship.
Secondly, if your client is pinning lots of images, for instance, about South African Safaris, you now have a valuable piece of information that can assist you in your next conversation with them.
2. Your clients not on Pinterest?
Invite your clients to connect with you. All you need to do is go up to the Invite/Find Friend section and follow the steps. You can find friends from Facebook, Yahoo, Gmail, etc. and you can also send email if you do not see them on any of your lists. Adding a personal note, IMO, is so important, your friends do not want to feel like they are being spammed.

3. Create boards that showcase your specialty,
Create boards that showcase your niche in your travel business and make sure they are the first boards your client sees when they come to your profile. Put the board right at the top of the page. Think about when you go to the supermarket, When looking for the Peanut Butter, does the PB at eye level stand out? Or are you bending down to the bottom shelf to check out the Peanut Butter at the bottom shelf? Product placement on the shelves makes it easier to decide what items you consider purchasing.
Hope this helps you get started in using Pinterest for your travel business. Love to hear your feedback or suggestions on what else you would like to learn about…
Till next time, see you Facebook and Pinterest
