New Camera App for Facebook

There is a new app in town! it is the new camera app for Facebook for the Apple products. So… what so great about it?   You can upload one photo or a bunch of images at the same time, write a caption, include location, add who you were with at the time of the photo was taken and  send to a list. You can also comment or like a friend’s images too.

Personally, I would like the app to go one step further be able to have the same capabilities and be able to use it for your business page.  Maybe that is just another update down the road.  To me, that will be when the application will really rock! :)

Till next time see you on Facebook,

Denise

Some interesting tidbits – death and videos

I have been playing with some new video creating software from animoto.com.  Have not purchased anything yet but going through the steps to see how easy it is to use and it is!  Here is the link.  It is only 30 secs. long and it still has advertisements but it will give you a good idea of the artistic quality that you can use to create beautiful videos.  More to come, after I play work more. Galapgos – A quick tour.

Ok, you have been worndering what to do with your Twitter, Facebook accounts when you die.  Well, actually what will your relatives do with it?

Both Twitter and Facebook ask that the deceased user’s surviving family members submit a link to an obituary, along with information about their relationship to the deceased, before the account is deleted or backed up.

To read more go to Mashable’s link.

More later…

Travel Photography cont’d

Get close and personal.  Use a zoom camera to get a close-up shot.

I personally like the zoom lens  because your subject will not put on their “photo” face.  You will capture a natural shot.

Sometimes you need to use your feet and get in close.  Capture the subject and minimize the background.

I am trying these techniques too!  I will share more on photography but please send in some of your own great suggestions.

Taking Better Pictures to share with your clients

We all want to have great pictures to share with our clients.  Whether you are using a point and shoot or SLR camera, such as the Canon Rebel, here is a hint on making your photos more interesting.

The Rule of Thirds: This is great for when you want to combine a subject with an object, such as a building or statue.

  • Divide you picture into 3 parts, left, middle and center
  • Put the subject, on one side, left of center, right of center But NOT in the center
  • Put the subject on the side that is less interesting

You will be giving equal weight to your subject and the building.  Your picture will be balanced.

Stay tuned for more tips and please share some tips of your own.
